Growing up in rural Shropshire, UK, Rachel settled with her family in Bellingen in 2009, and has developed a deep affection for the local area and people. This is reflected in the purpose and values of Podiatry Works which is to deliver a quality, affordable, local podiatry service for this community. Rachel believes that healthy and comfortable feet support positive, active lifestyles and mental wellbeing.


The Clinic is located in the prominent and respected multi-disciplinary GP Practice of Urunga Medical Centre. Visitors are welcome to make use of the large waiting room or make an appointment with our dedicated reception staff. Our patients enjoy peace of mind knowing that GPs and Nursing staff are available to offer additional support if required. Additionally, a Pathology Lab is only minutes away, ensuring all patients have the very best care at all times.


Rachels approach to patient care is backed by a wealth of experience from working in multiple health setting in London and the Coffs Coastal area, and she feels privileged to have served the local community for over a decade through Podiatry Works.

Payments

Podiatry works proudly offers an affordable service with a range of      payment options. We accept cash, cheques, EFTPOS and credit card payments and direct deposits.


  • Medicare: We accept Enhanced Primary Care referrals (EPC’s) which can be issued by your GP depending on your eligibility for a Chronic Health Care Plan. Where eligible, Podiatry Works offers immediate rebates and minimal out of pocket expenses.
  • Private Health Insurance: Patients may be eligible for a Rebate from their Private Health Fund. Rebate levels will change depending on your Policy.
  • DVA: We welcome our Veterans, and any treatments provided to Gold Card holders are covered by Veteran’s Affairs, with no out of pocket expenses.
  • NDIS: We welcome all NDIS clients and are able to invoice directly or to your support co-ordinator.

Covid Compliance

At Urunga Medical Centre and Podiatry Works, our number one priority is the safety and health of our patients, colleagues and the extended community. We value and appreciate your patience at this time, as delivery of services may be disrupted.


Podiatry Works has remained open with increased precautionary measures, in line with guidance from the Australian Chief Health Officer, State Public Health advice and the Australian Podiatry Association. These measures continue to play an active role in reducing transmission as the vaccination programs gets underway. Some of these measures include:


  • CovidSafe plan in action, as per the requirements of the Australian Government
  • Current CovidSafe conditions of entry are enforced at our location, including social distancing, screening questions before entry, and the mandatory QR codes and wearing of masks
  • Increased frequency of disinfectant cleaning of all clinical & reception spaces
  • Increased supply of hand sanitiser
  • Limiting treatment rooms to one patient and one podiatrist (carers, children and/or guardians allowed)
  • Infection control standards in line with the principles in the NHMRC's Australian Guidelines for the prevention and control of infection in Healthcare
